LEGAL SECRETARY POSITION AVAILABLE
Legal Aid of East Tennessee (LAET) seeks a full-time Legal Secretary in its Knoxville office to provide support to the Mental Health Law Partnership team and the Development team as well as coordinating the Hispanic Hotline and Hispanic Outreach efforts. This position will be responsible for a broad variety of secretarial and administrative tasks including client screening and intake, drafting correspondence and various types of other documents, creating and managing files, communicating with clients, notarizing or witnessing documents, translating Spanish documents, and performing other general duties as needed.
One to three years of relevant experience, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated organization skills are required. Fluency in Spanish is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software applications is required. Salary is dependent upon experience. LAET offers a generous benefits package. Continuation of this position is contingent on continued grant funding.
