Housing Foreclosure
Photo - Foreclosure CrisisLAET attorney Kendra Mansur (far right) organized a coalition of representatives from community agencies in Knoxville to address the growing foreclosure crisis.  During the past year, an unprecedented number of low-income families throughout East Tennessee have requested LAET’s assistance in avoiding foreclosure.  Frequently, clients delay asking for help until it is too late to prevent the foreclosure; so LAET has created community education programs that inform homeowners of the importance of seeking assistance as soon as they experience financial problems.

Tax Advocacy
