But all too often, those who cannot afford legal assistance are shut out of the court houses, and are denied their right to fairness.
LAET has been part of the community fabric of East Tennessee for more than 40 years, serving 26 counties from Chattanooga to Johnson City. With offices in Chattanooga, Cleveland, Knoxville, Johnson City, Maryville and Morristown, LAET provides civil legal representation to East Tennesseans who would otherwise have no one to help them secure their basic legal rights.
While today LAET recieves grant support on the local, state and national levels, the community remains an important part of LAET's ability to serve as many clients as possible. LAET is currently funded by eight local United Way agencies and appreciates donations from private individuals. Even with an active Board of Directors, hundreds of volunteers and hundreds of donors, LAET still needs your help. Please donate as generously as you can.
Any donation amount is usefull and appreciated.
Does your employer match charitable gifts made by employees? Please ask and inform LAET if they do. LAET staff is happy to assist you in this matter.
